Christiane Claudemime - theatre - danse - music


Biography

I was born in Montreal and now live in Chelsea, Québec which is about 15 kilometres north of Ottawa.

I have been entertaining different audiences for as long as I can remember. From the Hull Casino to Kindergarten. I have worked with many different artists and have performed with the Governor General of Canada by miming to the release of a new children's book by the celebrated humourist, Ben Wicks.

I have toured with Wayne Rostad and performed for the Canadian Air Force and travelled with Jean Houston from New York to California while performing with the 'Portable Theatre', directed by Howard Jerome.

I often perform at major conferences and local festivals by adding atmosphere and spark to get things going. I have performed on the CBC on several occasions and Rogers Cable was recently running my series called 'Mimemagination' several times a week on an a national basis

  • B.A. in Theatre, University of Ottawa
  • National Theatre School of Mime, Montréal- Marcel Marceau's students were teaching
  • Naropa Institute, Boulder Colorado
  • Public speaking and theatre training with Jean Houston and Howard Jerome
  • Clowning and mime with Pepper the Clown
  • Drama, Dawson College, Montréal
  • Singing classes with recording artist Micheline Scott.
